Ashtanga Yoga Retreat with Andrea & Claudia Lutz
(05 - 12 May 2017)
The retreat center is situated on a cliff above the beach of Triopetra. A little paradise with white sandy beaches and mountain blue water of the Libyan Sea. The surroundings are stunning and invite you to rest and swim between Yoga classes. Away from the main tourist spots the guesthouse is run by the same family for over 30 years and is renowned for its friendliness and its delicious Cretan food. The yoga Shala is built on top of the cliff and provides amazing views over the ocean and the hilly coastline.
The retreat provides you with the possibility to focus on your practice, and „retreat“ from your everyday life. Triopetra is a place with special and strong energy and will recharge you on all levels.
In the Mornings there will be traditional Ashtanga Yoga, Mysore Style classes. This way of teaching allows us, to work with each student individually and to give personal assistance and guidance for beginners and advanced students alike.
In the afternoons the focus will be on the techniques of Ashtanga Yoga, Breath and Pranayama, regenerative Yoga (Yin Yoga) and lectures on Yoga Theory and Philosophy.
Every Morning, before the Yoga class, Andrea will offer the possibility to attend a Zazen – Meditation. Zazen is a technique to calm the mind and to raise awareness. We are sitting for 30 min in silence, with no special aim, just to sit and observe. “there is nothing to gain from Zazen, only to lose”.
All levels of students are welcome to join the retreat.
During the retreat you will also have the possibility to book a massage or an energy healing session with Nisira (Androniki) Louka.
